A sketchbook created during the process of filming Deer Hunter that served as a storyboarding workspace. The sketchbook functioned as an evolving site of translation between idea and image, containing preliminary drawings, compositional studies, notations on movement and duration, fragments of text, and diagrammatic sequences that map the progression of scenes.
